Allgon Timber Treatment is a professional solution for protecting timber from damage caused by wood-boring insects. The treatment penetrates into the timber to control active borer infestations and reduce the risk of further damage. It helps extend the service life of both structural and exposed timber.

Wood-boring insects often damage timber from the inside, with little visible warning. As the infestation develops, timber can lose strength and become costly to repair. This treatment supports early intervention and ongoing protection where borer activity is present or likely to occur.

Allgon Timber Treatment works by penetrating deep into the timber fibres. The active ingredients reach the areas where borer larvae live and feed. Because borers spend most of their lifecycle inside the timber, this depth of penetration is critical. Unlike surface treatments, the product soaks into the wood to help manage active infestations. It is designed specifically for wood-boring insects and does not provide control of termites or other pests.

This treatment suits both new and existing timber across many environments. You can use it in residential homes, commercial buildings, sheds, and similar structures. Common application areas include roof framing, floor joists, beams, posts, wall timbers, and exposed timber surfaces. It is particularly useful where timber shows signs of age, moisture exposure, or known borer activity.

Borer activity often appears as small round exit holes, fine powdery dust, or timber that sounds hollow when tapped. Treating affected timber early helps slow further deterioration and reduce the risk of spread. While treatment cannot repair existing damage, it plays an important role in limiting reinfestation and ongoing structural decline.

Allgon Timber Treatment is applied by painting the product onto the affected timber. It targets wood-boring insects only and focuses on long-term timber protection rather than cosmetic surface treatment. When combined with correct application and professional inspection, it helps maintain the strength, durability, and longevity of timber structures.

  • Will damage eyes.
  • Will irritate nose, throat and skin.
  • Repeated exposure may cause allergic disorders.
  • Avoid contact with eyes and skin.
  • Do not inhale spray mist.
  • When opening the container, preparing the product and using the prepared product, wear cotton overalls buttoned to the neck and wrist and a washable hat, elbow length PVC gloves and goggles.
  • If product on skin immediately wash area with soap and water.
  • If product in eyes wash it out immediately with water. Wash hands after use.
  • After each day’s use wash gloves, goggles and contaminated clothing.

  • We’ll cover return postage for approved faulty or damaged products, provided it is safe to return them.
  • If returning the item is unsafe due to the nature of the product (e.g., opened pesticides), we will work with you to resolve the issue appropriately.
  • Depending on the outcome, we’ll offer a refund or exchange.

Refunds:

  • We issue refunds to the original payment method.
  • We process refunds once we receive the returned item or approve evidence of the fault.
  • The refund amount will be based on the product price and postage paid at the time of purchase.
  • Please allow a few business days for processing.

Exchanges:

  • If stock is available, we will send you a replacement of the same product when the original is damaged or faulty.
